PRIDE Program

The goal of this program is to provide grant funds to low-income households in eastern and southeastern Kentucky to install septic systems or to hook up to city sewer lines. Those eligible for grant funds must currently have a failing septic system, straight pipe or outside toilet. Persons residing in new or unoccupied homes are ineligible for aid. To qualify, the homeowner must meet HUD poverty guidelines; provide a current copy of an electric bill, proof of income and a deed that has been recorded at the courthouse.

PRIDE is funded through National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
